Onion River Animal Hospital was founded in 1983 by Dr. Colleen Bloom, when she moved to Vermont to escape the city life. Her first task was to transform an old 19th century barn into a veterinary hospital.  

Today Onion River Animal Hospital is a small, full-service animal hospital that has seen steady growth over the last 20+ years.

Dr. Karen Bradley and Dr. Lauren Quinn joined the practice in 2000 and became co-owners with Dr. Bloom in 2003. Long-time associate Dr. Erika Bruner began sharing ownership in 2007.

Working alongside the practice owners are practice manager, Erin Preston since 1998 and administrator Karen Weston since 1991. Our support staff consists of 10 full and part-time client care coordinators, veterinary technicians, and animal care assistants.
